My august friend and lovely professor,
Whom I respect and admire with love, Your knowledge and wisdom are confessor To most rich charms, which honor me above All loveliness and fulness. But your grace And smile, the marks of true ampleness, Are rare gifts which I covet and embrace From time to glad time's happier richness. You are a picture of health and beauty— A mirror of grace and warmth, of awards That mark a fine lady’s necessity, Whose dignity rebukes all mean rewards. With virtue, wisdom, grace and lovely ease, You model all that's good by great degrees.
