Love is not all it’s cracked up to be…
It hurts… It fades... It’s fickle... It’s elusive… It’s mercurial… It’s ephemeral… It’s over-rated… It’s indefinable… It’s undeniable… It’s tempestuous… It’s not always reciprocated…. The line between love and hate is so thin and fragile. And yet most of us spend our entire lives searching for it Some would kill for it. And even those who would die for it. For that old saying is true “It’s better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all”. So, yeah , though it’s all of the above, I guess we can’t survive without it. For me, it’s been all of the above, and more. Now, as I grow gracefully older, and hopefully a little wiser, this is my current perception of what love means to me. The song says “love changes everything” – I think “love changes.” The who, the how, the where, the when, and the why. It's love that changes.
