The suffering romantic
A poem about how the romantic suffers

The suffering romantic,
Agony in what he can’t achieve,
Seeing what he does not believe.
He does not believe it,
But he must concede it,
The pain he rightly concedes
The love he truly bleeds.

A romantic who suffers with pain,
A sufferer, so greatly, going insane.
He loves the divinity in vain,
For torture is his only gain...

Lost in a world of no ending
Procuring, his love pending,
And so, attempting to explain,
This romantic, continues to strain.
His heart beats once again
Testing the boundary of limitation,
The limitation guiding creation
And destroying all desperation.

Painful love, feeling grows,
The mind slowly goes.
Trying what can’t be so,
Pain, starts to show.

A desperate romantic being
Struggling, in love with the creature,
And so disbelieving
Here every perfect feature.
Crying so softly, so devastating
This love, slowly inflating.

An inflation, measures unknown
His heart bursting, over grown.

Poor suffering romantic,
Soul swollen, so thick,
Falling to millions of pieces
He sees her, temperature increases,
Muscles tense, eyes burst,
Timid, unguided thirst.

The suffering boy in love,
Cloudy skies, rains above
Soaked his hopes of conquering the divine.
The creature, his life, his shrine,
Never to love this loving boy, heartbroken,
Alone, crying succinctly, the romantic has spoken:
He will pursue with his crime,
Loving this fascination, until time
Pulls his gaze in another direction
Obliging him to admire another perfection.
