ECHO OF AMAZING GRACE
There is an echo of a well loved hymn resonating from a church where he prayed, as family and friends gather to ask God for his recovery, to wish him health once more. His life has followed the paths of other men who went to war and saw the suffering there. As a medic, he worked over many wounded soldiers who might not have lived but for him. He returned home to his wife and family, his deep faith and his courage grew stronger as he grew older; he still shared the songs he loved, knowing that the music would heal. Once you met Sam, you became a friend for life, he worked his way into your soul and left you a better person for knowing him. He became a brother at the first clasp of hands. I pray for his recovery and my thoughts are with the man who stood at my side and sang, with heart, Amazing Grace. I hear the echoes... Countrymom 2/4/09
