Winter fields, miles of soil, resting on their sister's seeds
Melting, the seasons pass
Now grown, an ocean of shining gold
Never to witness while embraced by sunlight
He can only imagine, beneath the moon
Watching them inside
Quickly the children are growing
Past. Drawn to the husband and his wife
Though with hunger, the branches held him and he observed
Inside, a growing baby of their own
Always looking back, seeing behind his eyes
Despair, the wheat in his hands, he felt
Dropping, landing, grain by grain
Existence building, eternity happening
The boy he watched with love
Years and he was there
And the girl growing too
A young woman will be soon
Their curious thoughts on him
A ghost outside before their golden sea
On branches of an Oak so green
Closing his eyes, but always to rest on their balcony
Imagining warmth inside on a deep blue couch
Surrounded by their love
He yearned, no way to obtain
Take the chance, but he couldn't
Pondering, dreaming, in eternity
And always gazing from that golden sea
