Feeling so small and insignificant
In this successful, grandiose world Of politics, desire, and social flavor Can make one feel angry, Hateful, and bitter. But isn’t your soul Worth more than a penny? Come home feeling progressively Useful and strong; Be forever tough at the friendly confines – Your family’s stress is as much your business As your stress is to them. And although their timely love and intimacy May seem distant and distracted, Their memories of you, old and tired, And your patience, frustrated and shallow, Their ultimate will is Your strength, youth, and vivacity, In speaking to you so convincingly Through their own beleaguered and challenged hearts!
