He was her darkness
She wished to be his light
After a late class
She straightened her dress
Running to catch him
Hoping this was right

Nerves and fear on her face
She dreamed it would happen
Running as if in a race
Losing her breath every moment

Looking up at the moon
She gave him her heart
As he thought in silence
The gift started to crack
She thought please answer me soon
Dropping her head
Her wish would never come true

Surprising him with tears
He grabbed her hand as she ran
He held her so warmly with so much love
"Please don't go, you don't need to cry"
Tears dried on her face as she looked at him

"A Girl's heart is fragile, so tell me quickly"
With a nod of agreement he answered
Kissing lips under the stars
Her face drunk with him
His face smiling with her
"I'm yours now so no more tears"
The magical answer lifted all her fears.
