Sibling Rivalry "Sister, Sister," he said to me, though he was no brother of mine. "Show me some generosity; Give me some crumbs on which to dine!" My face became red with fury. How dare he make such a request? For him, my heart felt no worry; His demise was my life's conquest! I watched him beg, ignored his pleas, disgusted that he was present, and ate my meal of steak and peas, pretending my mood was pleasant. I don't think he saw it coming, it all just happened in a flash. He had no reason for living, so that cockroach, my boot did mash! Written On: February 12, 2009 Line Count: 16 Lines Format: Eight syllable lines; ABAB quatrains. Written For: "COLORING THE WORLD CONTEST " Prompt: No reason for living
