Hiding in closets that are dark standing immovable being so quiet not daring to breathe hoping you'll leave. These are my thoughts as a child as I listen to the fights but inside this closet I am safe, in the dark alone. No one can hear my heart beat with the never ending fear. For I know I can never defeat the alcoholic and his beer. Like Dr. Jekyl and Mr. Hyde I never know when you'll change. So into my closet I run safe with the darkness hiding me. For in the darkness I am free and you can't find me!
