this is one of several poems i wrote my junior year of high school

I am a worshiper of Gods

I wonder whether I will live up to their expectations

I hear their voices and what they say

I see the signs they send to me

I want to live up to their expectations

I am a worshiper of Gods



I pretend I live in ancient times

I feel as if I am really there

I touch things thinking they are real

I worry that I will be a disappointment

I am a worshiper of Gods



I say my prayers and wishes to them

I dream that I am walking with them

I hope I am respectful of them

I am a worshiper of Gods
