A RAY OF HOPE
(The awareness) 'Neath the temple of the night sky, all alone I lay. And there, my soul bereft of tears, no more imprisoned within fears, considers words to pray. Kneeling 'neath these ancient portals, naked to their grace, I find that I am not alone: A ray of hope to call my own, within my thoughts takes place. Then within my deepest reaches flares one light, alone... "Well this is diff'rent", is the thought which makes its way alone, unsought, an infant not yet grown- "You're the one who sets my soul to happy, laughing flight. My soul is kindled, set aflame, each time my lips pronounce your name- I want you now. Tonight!" Still am I an empty vessel 'till I touch your heart. Tho' lacking any sense of skill, I bend my mind to my heart's will and set myself to start- "Empty, dark, my lantern sits, so I shall raise it high unto the Guardian of Night, to beg His oil, and His light that I may touch the sky... This poem is brought to completion in "A Ray of Hope (The Conclusion)"
