This script is about a bulldog puppy named Faheem, who gets lost, and is adopted by a lioness named Breighana. The idea for this story just came to me, so I had to share it with you. I hope you like it. The script may seem childish, but I personally think it can be enjoyed by people of any age. I'm only fourteen. It may seem strange, but the family of bulldogs are traveling in the jungle at the beginning. Well, I better not tell you what's going to happen later!
Mother Bulldog: Wow, today was a busy day, wasn't it, children? We've been in the jungle all day and we're finally ready to leave. Are you all here? Brother Bulldog: I'm here! Sister Bulldog: I'm here! Brother and Sister Bulldog: WHERE'S FAHEEM? Mother Bulldog: Oh no, Faheem's missing? Oh, please, God, keep my son safe! Please let him be okay. We've gotta find him! [somewhere deep inside the jungle, Faheem is wandering around on his own] Faheem: (talking to self) Wow, this is a big jungle! Where am I? (continues walking, when he is stopped by a lioness named Breighana) Breighana: Where do you think you're going, little one? Faheem: Um, nowhere, your majesty, the queen of the jungle! You are the queen, right? I've heard so much about lionesses, and.... Breighana: Quit rambling on and on, kid! Yes, I am the queen! Now tell me, where do you think you're going? Faheem: Well, I can't find my family, so I guess I'm just going nowhere...literally. Breighana: Oh, you poor thing! Why didn't you tell me that before? You can come stay with my family! Faheem: Are you sure? Is this some kind of trick so you can eat me for dinner? Breighana: Where did you get that idea? Faheem: I don't know, your majesty! Breighana: I ASKED YOU A QUESTION AND I EXPECT A BETTER ANSWER THAN "I DON'T KNOW"! Now, tell me, little one. Where did you get.... Faheem: I got the idea from Mother Bulldog! She told me to stay away from lions and lionesses because they will eat me alive, your majesty! Breighana: Whoa, whoa, calm down, youngster! What's your name, first of all? And second of all, stop calling me "your majesty"...call me Breighana. Faheem: My name's Faheem. It's, um, nice to meet you, Breighana. Breighana: Hey, kid...I mean, Faheem. I won't eat you, I promise. Want to stay with me? Faheem: Why would I stay with you? No offense. It's just that I have a family already. Breighana: It looks like your family's not coming back for you, sorry to break it to ya. That's why. Faheem: (crying while talking) They don't love me anymore! Breighana: Aw, I never said that! Don't cry, it's going to be okay. You honestly can stay with me. Now come here and give me a hug. Faheem: But I barely know you, Breighana! Breighana: Faheem, listen. I know it seems strange, but I've always wanted a son. I never had one and I was hoping for this day to come. Faheem: Really? Breighana: Yes, really. I truly do hope your family comes back, but until they do, I want you to take stay with me. I will take good care of you. Faheem: Okay, I guess I'll stay with you. *hugs Breighana* Breighana: It's getting awfully late, isn't it? The sun is going down...we should get back to our den. Faheem: Den? What are you talking about? Breighana: It's where I live. I thought your mother told you "so much" about lions and lionesses. Remember what you said? Faheem: Well, she did, but she never got into great detail about where your kind lived. Breighana: I must be warning you, there are other lions and lionesses in the den. You may want to be careful around them. Faheem: Why must I be careful? I thought you said they wouldn't eat me. Breighana: No, dear. I said I wouldn't eat you. Other lions and lionesses may want to eat a young bulldog like you. Faheem: Please, don't let them eat me! Please, protect me! Breighana: Aw, don't worry. I've got you. Now let's go to the den. Follow me! [Faheem and Breighana begin to walk toward the den] Breighana: We're finally here! Faheem: I'm a little scared. What if I become their dinner? Breighana: Didn't I tell you not to worry? Now be quiet! Let's enter the den as quietly as possible. [Breighana walks into the den, Faheem is following behind] Faheem: Wow, this is a big place! Hi, everybody! Breighana: Faheem, SHUT YOUR MOUTH! Guardian: Darn, Breighana, you loudmouth! I was trying to sleep! Who are you even talking to? Breighana: Nobody...pay no attention. Try to sleep again, just ignore me. Trinity: Breighana? Where were you all day? And who's with you? Breighana: Will everybody shut up and stop asking me questions? Jeez, it's none of your business! Guardian: I think I smell a dog! It's in here somewhere! Breighana, do you know something we don't know? Faheem: (talking quietly) Breighana, who are those two? Breighana: (talking quietly) Shhh! They're my brother and sister. Now hush up! Trinity: Breighana, who are you talking to? Guardian: She's talking to that dog! I knew there was a dog in here, I hear it, I smell it, and I see the tiny figure next to Breighana! Trinity: I'm getting hungry, what about you, Guardian? Guardian: Yes, I could use some puppy chow, if you know what I mean! Faheem: Oh no, they're gonna eat me! (begins to bark continuously) Breighana: You two cannot eat this pup! Guardian: Oh, are you saving him for your breakfast tomorrow? Breighana: No, he's like a son to me! He was lost in the jungle and I decided to take care of him! Trinity: Well, I'm sure you're not gonna do a good job! Mama never took good care of you when you were little! She left you behind that one day and.... Faheem: Breighana, your mother left you behind when you were little, too? Breighana: Yes, she did! And she didn't even try to find me till a year later! That's why I want to take care of you. I don't want you to be lost. Guardian: Breighana, you better keep a close watch on him tonight, 'cause if you don't, your precious little "son" will be in our precious little stomachs! Breighana: I won't let you take Faheem. Before you know it, he'll be more like a lion than the bulldog puppy he is! I'll teach him how to be one of us! Trinity: Yeah right, little sister! You're barely a lioness! Breighana: (roaring loudly) I'm twice the lioness you are, Trinity! Faheem: (roaring weakly) Trinity, stop messing with my mother! Breighana, Guardian, and Trinity : MOTHER? Faheem: Yes, my mother. Breighana: You called me your mother! And your roar is so adorable! I love you, son! Faheem: Adorable? It's supposed to be fierce, like yours! Guardian and Trinity: (laughing) Fierce? Breighana's roar? Trinity: I don't think so. Guardian: Kid, you got some work to do! You know what, Trinity? Let's stop messing with them. Breighana, you know we've just been playing, right? Breighana: I don't take it as "playing". Now leave us alone! When I wake up, Faheem better be laying beside me in one piece! Guardian: Ooh, somebody's moody! Calm down, we're not going to eat your son! That's my nephew, we're related now. You know what I mean? Breighana: You could care less if you're "related"! He's a dog! Your mean self would try to swallow him whole! Guardian: No, I wouldn't! Right, kid? Breighana: BACK AWAY FROM MY SON! (roars as loud as possible) Now we're going to sleep. Leave us alone. Faheem: I love you, mother! Breighana: I love you, too, son! -THE NEXT DAY- Breighana: Good morning, Faheem! Today, I'm going to teach you how to catch your prey! Faheem: (roaring weakly, but stronger than before) I can't wait! Breighana: Let's go get our breakfast! Oh, thank God, Guardian and Trinity are sleeping! They won't even know we left! Faheem: I don't like Guardian and Trinity. Breighana: Neither do I. They're horrible siblings. Hey, look, two gazelles! Now do what I do, Faheem. Move rapidly toward it. Faheem: I'm moving rapidly toward it. Breighana: Now keep your head and body low. Faheem: I've got my head and body low. Breighana: Watch your prey. Faheem: I'm watching, I'm watching! Breighana: Now move forward, forward, forward, until you end up...here! Faheem: I'm moving forward, forward, forward, and I'm...here! Breighana: Now ATTACK! (roaring loudly) Faheem: (roaring loudly, much fiercer than before) Breighana: (attacking gazelle) I got our breakfast, Faheem! Faheem: Me too, I think! No, it's getting away! (roaring as fierce as Breighana) Breighana: Well, you don't have the attack down, but your roar has improved! Now come on, let's take this gazelle back to the den! Faheem: Hey, mother? Breighana: Yes, son? Faheem: I love you. Breighana: I love you, too! [Faheem and Breighana head back to the den, where they see Mother Bulldog standing outside] Mother Bulldog: Faheem! I was worried sick about you! I missed you, son! Faheem: I'm sorry, but my mother is right here. Breighana: No, go back with your real mother. I've developed a real love for you, but you should go back with your real mother. Brother Bulldog: Faheem, we missed you! (hugging Faheem) Faheem: I don't want to come home! I've learned so much here! Listen! (roaring fiercely) Sister Bulldog: (jumping) Don't ever do that again, Faheem! You scared me half to death! Mother Bulldog: Faheem, please come home. Please, we miss you! Faheem: Okay, I guess I will! Mother, I'd like you to meet Breighana...my second mother. Breighana: Pleased to meet you, Bulldog family! Mother Bulldog: A LIONESS? Faheem, what did I tell you about lions and lionesses? Faheem: But this lioness is different. She really loves me! She told me so! Mother Bulldog: Faheem, I think it's time for you to go home. You've had enough adventure in the jungle for the past two days. Faheem: Okay, fine! Bye, mother...I mean Breighana. Breighana: Bye, son...I mean Faheem! I'll never forget you! [Faheem walks away with his bulldog family]
