We learned about The Sweat Lodge in this lesson. The sweat lodge came from the Native American and it is a purifying sacred ceremony. The purpose of a sweat lodge is to cleanse, purify, clear old non-serving energy and to reborn of the dark circle of the lodge. The lodge represents the warm moist heat of the womb that we are renewed into the light of the world. It is spiritual as well as traditional. The cleansing process isn't just a physical process. It is also a healing process of the mind.

This lesson was important. I think of sweat has being disgusting but it is a cleansing process. Purifying one's self gives you peace, renewal and social interaction. Spirituality is important to the Native American culture.

This lesson taught me that going to a sweat lodge would help me relax. I get stressed out a lot and this would be a great way to unwind. In other words, a type of therapy for my mind and soul. I learned why the sweat lodge is important to Native Americans and can be a good experience for everyone of all cultures.

The most important lesson I learned is that we cleanse our souls through the sweat lodge ritual. This could be refreshing as a shower. I respect this ritual now that I have read about it.
