A moment of infinite mercy given ~ just yesterday when I called out your name. The first tears had fallen my heart had been broken I pleaded compassion ere heaven remain. I yelled at the thunder ~ a sky black with ravens pierced through the clouds a moment of truth... How long was I waiting the voice of an angel ~ would pull me from sorrow the sun breaking through. I knew I had loved ~ there was no mistaking how deep were the scars once burned with regret... but not til the moment twas lost to the silence ~ a blind understanding of love I was left. Before we remembered our place for returning ~ I wrote of forever that death could not steal. I begged you to follow though miles we have traveled this dream was just waiting our purpose to seal. No more shall I wonder the reasons we tarry ~ or days spent together a lifetime of years. Each one shall I treasure ere the clouds roll with thunder ~ and love be reminded the mercy of tears. ![]()
