The issue is black.
Silence breeding in the never-ending void. Race concealed behind the words printed in dark ink. The ignorance enclosed by the weight of a gun. The issue is white. Bloodless are the lips pressed firm to diffuse the argument. Whitewashing the stain left by the chains of oppression. Shying away from the shadow of a noose. The truth lies with humanity. We are not born in the monotone of black and white. Instead, we wear the varying shades of brown, gold, red, and beige. Colored by our flaws and compassion, We live the existence of exception, defying the rule that states we are not equal. Round 3/Week 1 Entry - Splasharama Prompt: Discussing Race; quotes by Attorney General Eric Holder 3rd Place Winner - Week 1
