Love Me Not
Love and destruction, deceit

This item requires reviews with ratings.
Selfish and jaded you creep in whispering promises of love,
Cries from your heart had touched mine like grace from above.
Wrapped inside of you was security like being in feathers of a dove.
An illusion created by a love ridden foolish girl
Who believed in promises and a make believe world
My heart was made for giving and paving streets gold.
Hope filled dreams and perfect happiness gleamed.
Restoring all the uncertainty carried by the little girl inside.
Passion and love had found me and thought forever mine.
Love when held strong and true can’t be denied
Nothing can infiltrate if pure love lives inside.
I willed myself and gave my all to only you.
Honor and loyalty displayed carried through
Nightmares began to rent space late in the night,
Lurking around was vengeance but my eyes were blind.
My world was content and I pushed that worry aside.
Summer brought a smoldering haze and bitter heat,
Unforgettable the day air stopped and I could not breathe,
Those words spread throughout my body like a horrible disease.
Heartbreak had come taking happiness from me.
Facing truth I denied believing I did not belong
Devastating feelings swept my heart free of song
Hate filled your eyes blaming shaming me wrong
Pleads and tears filled my eyes and wondered why,
You held me tight and promising all wound be find.
Since losing myself inside of you only heartbreak resides.
