Today, I discovered a curious small book written by Franck Andre Jamme, a poet. His writings are similar to those found on small gold leaves in ancient Roman graves. A single leaf folded in the hands of the deceased was written in the form of a tablet--the words pressed together in a perfect square or rectangle. The words served as maxims or simple observations. Jamme's tablets are wise and wonderful to read. I enjoyed making these first few tablets of my own. Capturing the message is an important part of the journey. These are odd looking but fun to create.
