The Economy Won’t Blossom
A somewhat uplifting poem about the worsening U.S. economy.

This item requires reviews with ratings.
As the stock market tumbles
And economic fears worsen,
The threat of lay-off humbles,
And the sweetness of blossoms lessen…

With foreclosures mounting,
And business very slow,
Our blessings we are counting,
As the fragrant blossoms grow…

Our retirement savings in doubt,
And the bills we pay are high –
Banks aren’t lending money out,
As blossoms reach toward the sky!

The economy in horrific shape,
But blossoms smell so pure;
A recession from which there’s no escape,
No sweetness can endure!

Our massive hardship we will learn
Is filled with flagrant strife;
But blossoms claim their spring-like turn,
Our financial reward in life!
