Every Minute
A poem based off repetition.

Every minute a star falls
taking with it a wish
whispered by a small child
hoping for something more.

Every minute a life awakens
breathing in the sweet illusion
of a future to come
and cozy dreaming begins.

Every minute plays a song
that no one knows the words
empty breaths embrace within
the silent light of peace.

Every minute loses time
falling away from life
liquid drops like rain
seeping through this layered reality.

Every minute is a dropped fight
leaving questions unanswered
night impedes upon all sight
flooding from a valley of tears.

Every minute is a blessing
the shimmering dew of dawn
another chance at euphoria
the luminous promise of our essence.
