![]() Radiance refracted; colors of the sunset fade. Cherry coated clouds melt into azured coal. The stars climb, singing ancient canticles as the legends gather; my mind touches each jeweled story and moves on. There flies Pegasus of Herculean fame, master of the wind, Draco the hundred-headed dragon who guarded the golden apples of the Hesperides, and Hydra the twisting snake encircling galaxies. A soft fluttering of wings sends gentle ripples through the moon lanced darkness. Dancing in a cold spotlight, the heir of dragons traces magical runes in the chill night air. A lonely blossom reaches into the cottony silence offering it's sweet embrace, the nectar of its heart. Magic still lives. Notes Prompt: Word bank – cloud, cotton, color, coat, coal, chill, climb, cherry Canticles are poems or songs of praise. Pegasus, Draco, and Hydra are constellations, hence "jeweled stories." Thank you for taking the time to read my words. Please, take a few moments and leave a comment. Criticism, praise Ken
