The Poem of Daddy K. Weebles may wobble, but they don't fall down! They rock on the spot with no sign of frown! Right to left, back and forth, drunken, dizzy; always happy, never in a tizzy! They seem to taunt, "Your push is no bother; Thank you, Sir, may I have another?" Frustration creeps through, but you only laugh, You've not had your fill --not even by half! Weebles wobble, slowly wearing away, Until you find them lying still one day and, while you cry, they do no more than grin: "You'll never knock down the Weeble within." Written On: A few days in March, 2009 Form: 10 syllable, AABB quatrains Note: This is dedicated to a very special man who was lost to this world on Friday, February 27, 2009. You are not expected to understand this; only he and his daughters are... Just know that, everytime this man was about to fall, even down a flight of stairs, he'd take the time to sing, "Weebles wobble but they don't fall down." Further that by our running joke of, "Thank you, Sir, may I have another?" and I pray that I have done justice to his memory --he always liked smiling and laughing.
