Under the Palm Trees
A poem about a dream vacation.

This item requires reviews with ratings.
A crystal blue sky soaring and stretching
Upon the lovely, shapeless canvas of Earth’s infinite scope;
The scorching sands riveted and exposed
To the radiant power and penetrating heat
Of the towering sun;
Under the idyllic palm trees of a sunny,
Exotic Caribbean resort,
We sip wondrous, fruity, mouth-watering libations
In the relaxed open seating area of a busy, tropical cantina.
We savor the uplifting, casual, and happy times
At this modern, stylishly-constructed paradise,
As the God-given, hospitable, and gracious days ahead
Offer more oceanic escapes,
Relaxation on sunny, scantily-clad beaches,
And the live-entertainment and dance floors
Of pulse-pounding nightclubs –
A scintillating vacation of fun-filled activities
And a memorable distraction
From the daily, tiresome, and stressful existence
Back home; and a worthwhile chance
To pay an expensive, but meaningful bill…
