Someday
I can make you a world as big as blue I can paint you a picture of musical hue I can sing you a song as ripe as a river I can tell you a story as warm as a shiver I can grow you a flower that needs not the sun I can take you someplace where happiness runs I can build you a bridge as long as forever I can write you a book as hard as endeavor I can weave you a word as pale as alone I can play you a tune as deep as unknown I can catch you a star as ablaze as a knife I can show you a stone where tales come to life Before you ask what else I can do Let me make a wish that’s bound to come true I wish that our dreams would be alive in our hands I wish we could discover secret lands I wish the stars could take us away I wish this wish would come true—someday.
