From time to time, I wonder
I take a seat and ponder,
The illusive answer to
The all consuming why.
Why did we go to war with Iraq?
Why is there famine in the world?
Why is there an HIV-aids epidemic in Africa?
Why is child abuse rampant?
Why is pedophilia more prevalent today?
Why is there no cure for cancer?
Why can't they find Osama Bin Laden?
Why do the rich get richer?
Why are the young people so angry?
Why are hate crimes more frequent?
Why are there corrupt politicians?
Why do the poor get poorer?
Why is there greed?
Why is there jealousy?
Why is the whole world dying?
Why do I feel like crying?
From time to time, I wonder
I take a seat and ponder,
The illusive answer
To the question why.
