A girl waited with bated breath for the results of her second try,
constantly checking the time and willing the hours by.

She logged into writing dot chat and proceeded to be a pest,
shamelessly begging reviews and causing undue stress.

Her work was repeatedly edited till her fingers were rather worn,
whether to keep the poem or start over, left her feeling unusually torn.

All night she fretted and tossed, distress did not let her sleep,
In the morning she woke up cross and couldn't wait to peek.

So she fed her kids breakfast and sent them away,
It's a good thing they had Saturday ballet.

She logged into writing.com and laughingly slapped her knee,
jumping and hopping around, her little heart full of glee.

For she had just read an email addressing her as champ.
Victor of what? Well obviously, Winner of the Writers Cramp!
