In the quiet sleeping woods.

Snowy Winter Sunset

Through grappling arms of trees,
Final strands of blue-filtered light,
Stretch long across frozen tracks.
In the sleeping silent woods,
Settling for the long hard sleep,
Before rising to startle and sparkle
Across the drifts of another day.
