As winter ebbs and a warmer season of spring peeks around the corner I turn undivided attention to gardening. Pulling weeds occupies cooler morning hours, while digging flower beds fills balmy afternoons. Before long, tender green shoots sprout forth through soil where, just last year, their predecessors passed away, leaving only dry, crumbling foliage; withered, deflated blooms.
Daffodils will soon wave sprightly tendrils in tranquil breezes; hyacinth-scented air swirls beneath anxious noses, softly tickling olfactory senses, encouraging gentle thoughts, emotions: friendship, love, romance. Animals, too, awaken from cold hibernation, eagerly running about, padding nests, gathering food, enjoying Sun’s embrace.
