Struggling from Outside to Inside
The oak In my backyard Holds twisted rope and wood, My brother’s memorial site Alive. Window Second floor room, I gaze through glass crying One year past, that day’s clear blue sky My eyes. This room Dark and silent Shared dreams, hope and comfort Always been with me since the womb Spacious. My heart Broke in quarters Sluggish arrhythmic pump “How can I live without you here?” My soul. I feel Alone, cold, lost The ending should be near “I won’t fail us and be dead weight.” Nothing. "Invalid Item" A Cinquain is a short, unrhymed poem written in five lines. It has twenty-two syllables broken up into 2, 4, 6, 8, and 2 syllable lines. this is a Crown Cinquain which is a series of five Cinquains that work together. Each should work on its own, but together they should add up to something more, or show several facets of your topic.
