Mother's Day
Written for my mom in 2005 and shared with other moms I know online.

What exactly is Mother's Day?
Why should we celebrate one day?
Isn't a mother worth more?
She sacrifices all her freedom for us
To care for us and clean up after us
She is there when we need a hug
There to be our storyteller
Never to busy to give us a listening ear
And always has the best advice
Sometimes she scolds us and we get mad
But later we love her more when we find out why
A mother is always there to love
And will even show care for a child not hers
A mother's love is worth more than one holiday
So even when it is not Mother's Day
Don't fail to say your heart
"Thank you Mom" and "I love you Mom"
These are words they never tire of hearing
A mother's love can never be replaced
Though I am not a mom I know from my own
I am only a daughter who dreams of her own
But even then I will always love my mom
For she was always there
Everyday, Not just one
