I Like Spiders!
I like spiders! They live by eating flies, And other buzzing critters With giant, compound eyes. I like observant spiders With fuzzy, curious faces, Their many eyes a-glitter, Placed in the strangest places. I like the kind of spiders Who build webbed and wondrous traps; Their silk with dew drops shimmers, But will snare unwary chaps. I like ferocious spiders Whose hollow, pointed fangs Hold juice that kills their dinners, Then digests it while it hangs. I like hungry spiders With their very special jaws, Which suck their tasty suppers, Like milk shakes slurped through straws. I like all kinds of spiders, But not hiding in my bed, Or sleeping in my slippers, Nor climbing on my head!
