LIVING WITHOUT YOU

How can I go on without your gentle touch?
The warmth of your embrace meant so much,
that living without you just does not seem right.
How can I bear the silence of the dark at night?

Soft whispers in pointless passion spoken,
I try but cannot mend a heart that's broken.
Though I may seek to find a love that's true,
I only remember yesterday in dreams of you.

The heartbreak, tears and the fond memories
will bring me once again down to my knees -
and I am left so alone, just an empty shell,
I'm living without you in my own private hell.

I know that time will heal the hurt and pain
of losing you so completely, yet all the same,
I still listen for your footsteps on the stairs.
You are always in my thoughts and prayers.

Alone I face yet another day -
Living without you...
