The Sound of Death

THE SOUND OF DEATH

The sound of death
does not go off in a bang,
but rather in a tap,
and it doesn’t
drain, nor does
it spill, but, rather,
pump out
in spurts
of grey matter
and blood
and like living paint
colors the walls
and the floors
of the living.
