An Ending and A Beginning
A celebration of an ending to start a new beginning.

Some dug a big pit in the sand. Others looked for dried wood to burn. It was graduation night, and we were having our customary celebration. Bobby struck one match. Soon, blazing high into cloudy, dark skies, sparks caught on passing breezes imitating flying stars, twinkling brightly, then, disappearing forever.

New graduates swaying happily as music, drink, who knows what else, lulled senses. Longtime classmates, party, most likely, their last time. Tomorrow, reality would top everyone's agenda.

Innocence evaporates like smoke, swallowed by salty air. Only embers’ ashes remain forging lives from remnants of youth. Young adults pursuing future fulfillment.
