I heard yesterday
That a little girl was born Her mother is astonishingly blue The father is a fine beige hue Parents and family have no clue Do you suppose there is chance? For a new creation Bringing forth a new nation? A beautiful, united theme That -- only God has seen The girl’s mother was fearful His mother and father were fearsome The young people crossed the line Anyway, and so in the islands of time Their plan for love proved fear of none The lines that were boldly drawn Before these two were born Were at once ripped and torn Bias they would not be shown So a little girl was born (What color is she?) By Earthene Fleming September 23, 1980 I wondered what would happen if two people met who were the proverbial blue and beige. What about even green?
