Its promises past, an abandoned pot,
patiently waiting in fading sunbeams.
What time's overlooked, without a thought,
a fallow heart still remembers its dreams.

Patiently waiting in fading sunbeams,
the remembered warmth of love that has gone
in my reverie still sparkles and gleams.
With anticipation I wait the new dawn.

What time has overlooked, without a thought,
are the seeds that remain at the flower's demise.
Sheltered and nurtured until they are brought
out in their glory with the new sunrise.

A fallow heart still remembers its dreams.
Through xeric landscapes, hope remains alive.
Like a mirage, life is not what it seems.
With a constant heart, love can grow and thrive.

Form: Lilibonelle This form is made up of four quatrains. The lines of the first quatrain repeat at the beginning lines for the rest of the stanzas. Explained: The second line of the 1st stanza becomes the first line of the second stanza. The third line of the 1st stanza becomes the first line of the 3rd stanza.
