Persian:  Doosh raftam ba dar e maikada khaabaalloda
              Khirqa tar, daaman o sajjada sharaabaalooda
Urdu:      Shab maen ponhcha ba dar e maikada khaabaalooda
              Khirqa tar, daaman o sajjada sharaabaalooda

English;=== On my way to the bar, having left the shrine
                  My clothes and gown were stained with wine
                                                -

Persian:  Aamad afsooskunaan mughbacha e baadafaroosh
              Guft baidaar sho aey rehrav e khaabaalooda
Urdu:      Kitna mukhlis tha wo ik mughbacha e baadafaroosh
              Bola baidaar ho aey rehrav e khaabaalooda

English:=== The maid of the bar, when she came to attend
                  She saw my plight and said,"Dear friend
                                                -       

Persian:  Shust o shooie kun waangeh ba kharaabaat khiraam
              Ta nagardad zay to een dayr e kharaab aalooda
Urdu:      Aa naha dhoo kay, hawa kha kay kharaabat maen too
              Ta keh tujh sat na ho yeh dayr e kharaab aalooda

English:=== "Go wash and clean and change your gown
                  When you come to the bar, don't look like a clown
                                                  -

Persian:  Ba hawa e lab e shireendahanaan chand kuni
              Johar e rooh ba yaqoot e muzaab aalooda
Urdu:      Hawas e shireen dahan maen too karay ga kab tak
              Johar e rooh ba yaqoot e muzaab aalooda

English:=== "You love my lips but don't lose control
                  Just take red wine; it's good for your soul
                                                -

Persian:  Ba tahaarat guzaraan manzil e peeri o makun
              Khilaat e shaib ba tashreef e shabaab aalooda
Urdu:      Manzil e peeri hay, paaki say guzar aur na ker
              Khilaat e shaib ba tashreef e shabaab aalooda

English:=== "O please don't think that I'm being cold
                  But don't act young when you're so old
                                                -

Persian:  Aashnayaan e reh e ishq dar een behr e ameeq
              Gharqa gashtand o nagashtand ba aab aalooda
Urdu:      Aashnayaan e reh e ishq dar een behr e ameeq
              Gharq ho ker bhee naheen hoetay ba aab aalooda

English:=== "And those who love don't get upset
                  Even when drowning, they don't get wet
                                                -

Persian:  Paak o saafi shoo o az chaah e tabiyat badar aa
              Keh safaay nadahad aab e turaabaalooda
Urdu:      Chahay ger paaki toe is chaah e tabiyat say nikal
              Keh safa kerta naheen aab e turaabaalooda 

English:=== "Being clean and pure should be your goal
                  So drink white wine and clean your soul"
                                                  -

Persian:  Guftam aey jaan e jahaan, daftar e gul aebay neest
              Keh shawad waqt e bahaar az mai naab aalooda
Urdu:      Poochha kya aeb ho ik daftar e gul maen aey jaan
              Waqt e gul us ko karay ger mai naab aalooda

English:=== After listening to this, I said, "My dear
                  Come drink with me and don't be so severe"
                                                  -

Persian:  Guft HAFIZ baroo o nukta ba yaaraan mafaroosh
              Aah az een lutf ba anwaa e itaabaalooda
Urdu:      Sun kay naaraaz hua mughbacha HAFIZ laikin
              Lutf kerta raha banwaa e itaabaalooda

English:=== Hearing this, HAFIZ, she became irate
                  Though she remained willing to accommodate
