Taylor Swift: Love Story

I love Taylor Swift's singing and I have two of her CD's. The young woman is beautiful and has a beautiful voice. I admire her.

Have you heard her song "Love Story?" Have you seen the video? I love the video and the song. In the video, the young woman meets a young handsome man at the Ball. It is in the Medieval times and the couple dance. They walk along in the garden and the woman pets a horse and the couple are falling in love. Taylor refers to the young man as Romeo and herself as Juliet. The video has a happy ending. They don't die. This Romeo and Juliet live and are hugging and kissing in the end.Yes! I love happy endings and fairy tales. Taylor looks beautiful in the gowns she wears. When you watch the video, you think of Cinderella and all the fairy tales you have ever read. I am a hopeless romantic. It is obvious in the stories I have written.

As I watched this video and hear this song, I think about my first love at fifteen. His name was Julian. He lived down the road from my grandparents{my father was in Viet Nam. My mother and I lived with her parents at this time.} when I lived there. He had several brothers and sisters and I was friends with his sisters and brothers. Julian and his brother would visit the guy across the road and Julian would always wave at me. My grandparents and mother didn't let me go out and talk to him. I would talk to Julian when I visited his sisters or the guy's sister across the road when Julian was visiting. Julian was cute. My mother didn't approve of him. One night when my grandparents and mother weren't home, Julian came over to visit and we held hands and kissed. We didn't get many moments like this. Julian was shy. He never asked me out. He was afraid of my mother and grandfather. Like I said, my mother wouldn't let me see him much. We were like Romeo and Juliet in this respect. Julian hung on to my high school picture for years. He finally threw it away a few years ago. I went to his sister's Wedding and he kissed me on the cheek and hugged me. I moved on and got married. Julian and his five brothers never got married. They live together in the house they grew up in.

I am happily married. When I watch the video, I think of my husband when were younger.He can't understand my hang up on Medieval times and fairy tales. He treats me like a Queen and a Princess. I am spoiled. My castle is small but nice and I have everything a Princess could want. I have a room that my husband had built on because I wanted it. It has a fire place, book case, wicker furniture and a painting of a Princess and knights. I have dragon sculptures, wolves and my scrapbooks I have made along with my two published novels, scrapbooking and crafts books plus other books that I love. I also have fairy sculptures and dolls. This is my Princess Room. As a writer, I have fantasies. Watching Taylor Swift's video and hearing her song, I have my head in the clouds. I am glad that Taylor's song has a happy ending. Sorry Shakespeare. Romeo and Juliet do live happily ever! So does Princess Megan and her Prince!
