Yellow Submarine
A poem written for my Grandfather when he died.

The reason this is called Yellow Submarine is because when I was younger that was my favorite Beetles song and Papa used to sing it with me all of the time.

Crying tears
Without tears
Having fears
Without fears
Living life
In the strife
Of having friends
Among the ends

The Yellow Submarine
Sunk below the green
With no more worries
No more reason for his hurries.

Songs to sing
Hear them ring
Though his deep voice
Leaving with eyes moist
Silence was his friend
Up until the very end
Laugh of all the ages
Just to turn the pages.

A very faithful man
With a never ending tan
Was kind to us all
Never let us fall
He’ll be with us to the end
Our submarine friend

Crying tears
Without tears
Having fears
Without fears
Living life
In the strife
Of having friends
Among the ends

The Yellow Submarine
Sunk below the green
With no more worries
No more need for his hurries.
