The Apostate

** #1550042 Not An Image **

Silence surrounds me while the heavens sigh.
I cry to the dark clouds asking for peace
in my soul, in my heart, with no answer.

The waves caress the shore, offering an answer
as the wind whispers in a voice like sigh.
Within my embrace you will find peace.

I hear the siren song of proffered peace.
Within the liquid promises, I hear an answer.
The beauty overwhelms me; I yield with a sigh.

In the blue quiet, a final silvery sigh and I find peace, I find an answer.

Day 9 entry in "Rhythm & Rhyme Poetry Challenge [E]

Prompt: Image
Form: Tritina
The Tritina is the little brother to the Sestina. Instead of end rhymes, each stanza uses three specific unrhymed words in a specific sequence at the end of the lines. The following is the sequence in which you will use those three end-words for the first three stanzas: ABC CAB BCA The final single line stanza will use all three words in order, ABC, at the end of the line.

Apostate – a person who forsakes his religion, cause, party, etc.

Thank you for taking time to read my words. I would appreciate it if you took a moment and left a comment. Your reaction, impressions, criticisms, - yes, even praise *Smile* - are all equally welcome.
