A Christmas Gift
He arrived with snow and sleighbells ringing
My tiny, most anticipated gift.
One small cry—the sound of angels singing.
The presence of him bade my spirit lift.
Summoning shares of my deep emotion
With the ultimate persevering bond
Attracting me with his true love potion
His laughter, his smiles, his love linger on
He plays inside the center of my heart.
Even when he’s far away he stays there.
An emptiness I feel when we’re apart.
I long to kiss his cheek and stroke his hair.
Her sacrifice with pain and frightened tears.
She labored for the love she longed to see.
For him she set aside all of her fears,
This gift my precious child bestowed on me.
Hunter is about a month old in this picture and I'm loving on him.
