I’m not supposed to be here.

I had to try to save her didn’t I?

Failed.  Too weak.

Her hand brushed mine and for a second everything was alright.

But the water, the current, whatever it was tore at me

lashing, holding me, chaining me down.

It was dark.  Then I saw her.  Then dark.

Is she alright?  Did she get out?

She’s not here.

That’s great.  That’s good……….I’m glad for her……..

They’re taking me home.

Here’s my car.

It’s nice.  Black, sleek yet hunchbacked.

This is my ending.

But I’m not supposed to be here.
