Well Worn Souls
Old shoe, broken battered A testament to miles traveled Over rocks and jagged peaks Through the valleys, brooks and creeks Tattered laces, thinning soles The leathers cracked and drying Tired yet still wearing on Old perhaps, but holding strong Old man, broken battered A testament to life’s travels Over seas and bloody beaches Charging onward through the breaches A broken heart, and weary soul His hands are cracked and drying Tired yet still wearing on Old perhaps, but holding strong *For my Granddad and those who sacrificed with him*
