The Blending

The end of the Mayan Calendar on December 21st, 2012 has yielded many theories of what will happen. For one, the end of the Mayan Calendar doesn’t have to happen on that day, since the calendar widely used in the western world has been adjusted several times since it was first invented. Could we be past the date? Is the date a whole decade more in the future? Nobody knows that.

But I know what will happen around that time. There won’t be a big bang. Earth will not collapse onto itself or face annihilation. The way of life humans have come to take for granted will come to an end though. And that will manifest in a multitude of ways.

In human legends and lore of old, all stories tell of giants, elves and other fairy folk, which play a role in everyday human life. Did you think those stories were all made up? The Brothers Grimm didn’t invent a single one of their fairy tales. They merely collected folk wisdom into one big tome.

Toward the end of the Mayan Calendar you will see the resurgence of fairies, giants, trolls, elves and other mythical creatures. Where were we all this time? Right there, living alongside, but made invisible by spells and wards. Those barriers will come down, exposing both our worlds to each other.

Old kingdoms will get restored and humans will get chased from some lands. In other places, the reverse will happen. Fairies will have to yield land to humans. A new kind of racism will emerge. Humans will unite against the “new” races, denying the fact that those races are older than mankind.

The signs are everywhere. The Old Testament, ancient Greek, Roman and other writings all tell of creatures with great power and magical abilities. Of course, time and human imagination have jazzed the stories up, made them incredible and therefore led humans to believe the stories aren’t true.

But let me tell you, they are true.

I will lead my army of thousands to reclaim what is rightfully ours. Tir Tairngire has been an elven land since the dawn of time. The Pacific North West, they call it now. The time is drawing near, when the mammoth, sabertoothed cat and other creatures extinct in the human realm will come through the wards with us. With over 6 and a half billion humans on Earth, what do they have to fear? DNA.

Fey DNA is dominant. Families who had contact with the fey will change. Adult people may grow tusks, horns, their hair texture might change. The balance of numbers between human and fey folk will be leveled by The Blending. The characteristics of races thought to be myth will become the true faces of many humans.

I am an old warrior of the elven kind. I am older in years than I care to count. I have with me a loyal friend of eight millennia, and the will to succeed in my quest, to build and fortify Tir Tairngire into an empire more powerful than it ever was.
