A Wicked Day Has Come


A wicked day has come to call
The heart that wonders aimlessly
And to its whisper will enthrall
Its beckon to be free

For is it not our way to go
That leads one down to loathing spin
An inward flight to darken soul
Refutes the plight of sin

And darker still it longs to gain
Rests deep within its core
A treachery to muse and sane
Cast down for evermore

To from we came will hence return
With nothing gained to offer Him
Unless the blood to spoil the burn
A lamb to cover sin
