The Hannash
* Line/Verse Counts- 3 lines, 3 verse minimum. * Syllabic Structure- 8/8/5. Line 1=8 syllables Line 2=8 syllables Line 3=5 syllables Repeat for each verse. * Rhyming Structure- Children's Free Verse no rhyme is required. * Poetic Theme- Hannash-Animal * Other Factors (Creativity)- This is an expression of the animal itself, speak to the reader as if you are the animal, showing its characteristics. Use of Alliteration should be included in this form. A fun poem for children to recite. Created for the "Create Poetry Form Contest" Example: The Mischievous Monkey Hee-hee-hoo ... hear me hollering, see me swinging from branches high. One little monkey. Hee-ha-ha ... as I beat my chest, calling to my friends; come and play. Two little monkeys. Hoo-hoo-he, peeling bananas, hanging by our toes, happily. Three little monkeys.
