I am Amazed

                                    I am Amazed
                      I am blessed with so many angels
                      I feel their gentleness in my soul

                    I see them each day in so many faces
                      A smile, a glance, a warm embrace

                I feel their touch so tender and my heart sings
                                At the kindness given

                    I am amazed, how many there can be
                                    Watching over me

                          My heart aches, it longs to soar
                            To the Arms where angels live

                                      My angels here
                                      My angels there

                                        I am blessed
                                        I am amazed!

Inspired by individuals with developmental disabilities that I have the honor of knowing. They are pure of heart, the gentlest of souls. They lift my spirits to higher ground just by a smile. The innocence born in their heart is evident by their acceptance of others and their love and honesty is given without hesitation. My efforts have been to make a difference in their lives. The truth is I can not give more than they continue to give back to me.
