Mom’s birthday today;
blowing the candles on the cherry cake; her face now pale with eyes of blue; a lighter hue. Smiling away to yesterday; three children on a widow's pay; a close knit family. She taught us to pray living life in Godly ways. Never ever to stray when heaven calls; to the pearly gate where she waits; with a kiss and a cuddle; to hold our Dad. Reminding him of her love when he bowed to propose! “Will you marry me to bear our children? John, Joe and Jill with blue eyes and blond hair; holding hands at your grave, mirrored in the clouds; a Mother’s love on earth, to be with her Savior in heaven."
