The great recipients
Of the brightest lights in the sky, The sun and the moon, Are the harassed and heart-broken, Soon-to-be-tested human beings Trekking countless miles. The sharp beams of light From these celestial bodies Radiate Nature’s instinctive qualities, A glowing, contrasting brilliance To the loss of innocence That earthly existence demands – Intimately-wrapped gifts So truthfully examined and accompanied By positive, fruitful thoughts Of a happy, homeward-bound journey…
