A mother’s love
A mother’s love protects like a good luck charm I am not afraid with my mother by my side Confidence, courage, and wits with me reside None can take away my calm or cause me harm. She tells me the right and wrong with a smile In her soft kind eyes that wipes away my blues To her I owe my balanced ways and a neat style. None other has ever given me multiple clues Into the ways of the world and those of my own mind She taught me things I need to live happily contented A mother’s love inclined me to be patient, to be kind, To be considerate even to an enemy when confronted. She checked me when I lost control and cool Oh, what a mess I would have made my life! But for her I would have been lost like a fool Would I ever know the delights of a model wife? Her love inspires us to a golden future. Among all the shades of love we know A mother’s love is our closest link to nature That benefits, brightens and blesses us so.
