Defeat

The team fought real hard,
Only short one yard.
Were beat.
A play like backyard
Got all them this far,
Whole fleet.
In a year they starred,
Gave every last shard.
Compete.
Seed of the wild card,
While battered and marred,
Elite.
All the fans were scarred,
The players had sparred,
Defeat.
